Creations Magazine selected my image of a Junonia Butterfly for their October/November 2014 Issue.
The Junonia or common buckeye is a butterfly in the family Nymphalideae…scientifically speaking. In common terms, it is an uncommonly eye-catching critter and I am all-a-flutter over having another one of my images selected to become the cover.
While this butterfly is found from Canada to South America, I photographed it at Sweetbriar Nature Center http://sweetbriarnc.org in Smithtown, Long Island.
