Antarctic Sound on the way to Paulet Island

Part of the mystique of Antarctica is the daring and dramatic history of its exploration. Paulet Island is historically important because Captain Larsen and his crew were forced to spend the winter here in 1903 when their ship was crushed in ice during an expedition.
