Blooms and Beyond is the slide story of the evolution of transformative work that continues to take Holly Gordon’s vision beyond photography into a new realm. Last year she was invited to be a guest speaker at the Long Island Herbal Society Annual Symposium and now the slide program will be shared at two venues:

Allergy sufferers…no worries… Join Bay Shore resident and artist Holly Gordon for her slide program, Blooms and Beyond…a visual stroll through the evolution of her new exhibition, FLORAbundance on exhibit in our library gallery for the month of June. Once a painter and always a photographer, she has traveled the world exploring Nature’s wonders as well as glorious gardens of renown. Monet’s Giverny, English Gardens of Devon and Dorset and the Canterbury Gardens of New Zealand are but a few. The invention of the camera in the 1800’s expanded new ways of seeing, thinking and painting…and right now technology is redefining photography just as Impressionism once redefined painting. FLORAbundance is a visual bouquet into Holly Gordon’s creative transformation that is taking her vision beyond photography into a new and more fluid realm. Be dazzled and delighted. You may even return home with renewed excitement to grab your trowel and your camera!
